My name is Todd A. Podwoiski, and I am the founder and lead instructor of Road Toad Tactical. My mission is simple: Educate. Train. Prepare.

My journey toward professional instruction began long before Road Toad Tactical. I served in the United States Army and am a Persian Gulf War veteran, experiences that helped shape my appreciation for discipline, responsibility, preparation, and the importance of training. From an early age, I developed a respect for firearms and learned that owning one comes with a serious responsibility to understand safety, proper handling, and the consequences of every decision.

In 2018, I became a certified firearms instructor, turning my passion for responsible firearms ownership and education into a commitment to helping others become safer, more knowledgeable, and more confident. 

Today, I am a USCCA Certified Firearms Instructor and Training Counselor, as well as a USCCA and NRA Range Safety Officer. My certifications and training also include USCCA Concealed Carry & Home Defense, Countering the Mass Shooter, Women's Handgun & Self-Defense, and Emergency & First Aid. I am also a certified U.S. LawShield instructor
